My neighbor and I took the john boat out to the little pee dee river, out of galavants ferry, to try and find some bream and catfish. The water was just a little low, but managable. 2-3' average in the flats. We managed to find a stump about 2 miles up the river, but no damage. Feww.......... We started out by working the slews closer to the landing, and found some nice shell crackers over hand sized. We caught some small red breast and a few fliers.
We moved down to the catfish holes, and got a few bites, but nothing comitted. We did catch a small blue cat on a cricket by accident. LOL Maybe next time on the cats. I know a couple of the bites were gar. The two in the hole were definately cats, but they were just less interested.
