Boil Order Advisory Lifted at Lake Pueblo State Park
#1
PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) lifted the boil order advisory today for all drinking water sources at Lake Pueblo State Park after tests determined that the water was safe to drink. The staff at Lake Pueblo routinely samples the drinking water in the park for safety. On May 20, testing found coliform bacteria over the allowable level in water at the north boat ramp restroom prompting CDPHE to issue the boil order advisory. Park staff has flushed and sanitized the water distribution system and subsequent testing has found the water is safe to drink.

Brad Henley, Lake Pueblo State Park Manager, said the water system at the park is undergoing construction, which may have caused the problem.
"We believe that the boil order advisory protected park visitors. We regret the inconvenience, but public health and safety is our foremost concern," said Henley.
