MAN SUFFERS APPARENT HEART ATTACK WHILE JET-SKIING

LAS VEGAS - National Park Service rangers responded at 10 a.m. this morning to a report of a man falling off a jet-ski in the Hemenway Harbor area of Lake Mead. Members of the man's group pulled him out of the water, began CPR and transported him to shore by boat. They were able to pull him out of the water because he was wearing a life jacket.A park patrol boat met the group on the water and transferred the patient, park medics continued CPR. CPR was performed for about 36 minutes and park medics were able to restore vital signs before he was eventually transported to the hospital by helicopter. However, at about 12:00 p.m. the 51-year-old Colorado man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
From witness reports, investigators believe the man may have suffered a heart attack while jet-skiing. The exact cause of death will be determined by the corner. The Clark County Corner's Officer will make next of kin notifications.
