Report - Guanacaste Costa Rica - Bat Islands

Fishing in the bats is heating up right now and the sails were coming in as we left a few days ago around the 14th of july, we were boating 12+ fish a day, Big bite was on, 50+ lb roosters (biggest about 75), huge pargos(snappers) on topwater 40lb+, lots of jacks, a few ambers and arandom rainbow runner or albacore -- off thepoint there is a mix of tuna and mahi,but nothing over 30 pounds, marlin hasn't been good.

Sounds like the fishing is hot down your way. I've been out of the loop the last week or so, but I suspect the good fishing off our coast has moved pretty far offshore by now. Way to catch'em up. [cool]
