Hit up the upper provo today near woodland area on some property i have access to, i took my friend thats relatively new to fly fishing. We both had a decent day with the fish, i laid into 10 and some nice whitties that put up some fight. He got into 6 himself for a new comer on a new river that is exceptional. It was strange that we landed only 2 browns between us, as that is usually what we catch up there. Today was the day for whitefish and rainbows i guess. All of the fish we caught were from nymphing with barrs emergers behind your classic phesant tail or prince nymphs. Also landed a couple on a midge pattern that i tie up myself. Lately that has been the ticket.
