Looking for flyies for the glades
#1
I'm looking to make a snake fly," water snake" or a lizard fly,I'm not even sure this is common for fly fishing,I have'nt even checked online.Alfred my fishing buddy is getting back from Guyana soon,I just started flyfishing when he left, just before he left I caught the biggest bass he's seen caught on fly,I used a popping bug from Bass Pro,it was 4lb 6ounce,I want to impress him with a couple of new lures,I want to see anything you can come up with so I can get an idea, and try to either get someone to make them ,or try to make them myself.,This would be a great help,thanks... Remember, keep those lines tight.... Paulpro

Thanks, here is a vid I just found for you ,I hope you don't mind this kind of stuff, its also an example of the lenght I'm looking for.I threw one of these same snakes in the lake, and got the pleasure of seeing a bass take it off the surface, bass came up from about 10 feet,I used to let my pet snakes swim in the lake, these were 6foot,still,they attracted bass and Lukinani,I guess bass love that action of a snake swimming,if I can only get a snake fly to swim like this,I want to try one 8 to 14inches or so...I will post back if I make something that works, thanks again,I've had great luck with Manns hard nose snake,10 inch,I used brown and red, even white on spin cast..
