Crossroads park pond
#1
Kids had a ball game at crossroads park in Gilbert last night so we showed up a little early to try our luck at the pond next to it. We saw a few people pull fish out a few nights ago so we figured there must be something in it. We ended up landing quite a few none of any size really but my son did land about a 8 inch tilapia and a few decent bluegill. My other sons friend also landed a cat I didn't see it so I don't know what kind. It was a good outing for the kids. We were using a jig tipped with a mealworm. We are gonna try going out again later this week. I'll post when we do.

Hit the pond again tonight. My older son had practice and my youngest fished during it. Again he caught quite a few little ones and 1 fat bluegill. We went back after practice after dark. Should've just went home. My son used all the worms earlier so we tried plastics. We didn't even get a single bite. Oh well I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching. I'm sure we will try it again though.
