Come Fish Panama welcomed back 3 Anglers that fished with us in Chiriqui last year but were looking to fish off our Pedasi Waters. Jeff and his fishing partner’s Omar and Plinio came looking to primarily bottom fish in Pedasi and to throw poppers. During this time of year the water temp. tends to cool down a bit and the swell is very favorable for anglers looking to head further offshore. So with that in mind we gave the nod to Capt. Toro Loro to fish with these three anglers through-out their trip.
These avid anglers headed out with Capt. Toro Loro to first find the Roosterfish that Omar has always been trying to hook into.. That was not a problem since the Roosterfish is always in our waters and throwing Yo-Zuri Sashimi Poppers at them was on the Rooster menu. Omar hooked up with a nice 70 Pd. Rooster while Jeff had a rod-bending action fight with a 80 pounder and 65 pounder on the end of his line.
After several Rooster’s and accomplishing Omar’s wishes Capt. Toro Loro headed to Media Luna and Pargo Grande to have them bottom fish for the many bottom dwellers that frequent the area. These Anglers were at a non-stop pace trying to out duel one another deep jigging and livebaiting with knee buckling strikes from the AJ’S (Reef Donkey) on light tackle. Plinio had the right movement with his OTI Jager Jig 300 (PK) that he didn’t miss a beat. (fish)
Within their 3 day trip they hit up 7 Amberjacks, 4 Yellow Snappers, 9 Mexican Barred Snapper (Rock Snapper) 2 Rainbow Runners, 5 Pacific Cubera Snappers, 4 Red Grouper, 6 Bluefin Trevally 4 Jack Crevalle 1 Silk Snapper and several other dwellers. Their time in Pedasi was well enjoyable and when asked which destination do they prefer (Chiriqui or Pedasi) Plinio was quick to answer, each has it’s own differences but both areas are very productive..
