#1
San Onofre Beach ...Just Loaded ,with Toothy Critters!!! Sunday I stopped by BIG FISH on p.c.h to say Hello to my good buddy Juan Acosta, and picked up some Killer Ghost Shrimp and made my trail. I fished 2miles past the reactor, towards the "Barn" area , And All Afternoon 1 after another ..LINGCODS small BUT LEAPORDS up to 4ft. in the shallows away from the surfers. Also missed a couple FLATTIES.. forgot my wire. ALL ON Ghost Shrimp..I Don't know what BOBBY's Putting In that Bait ! But It's Working Great !!! See you on the Water Next Week !

O.K. coming from L.A. You would go south on the 5 fwy going towards San Diego ,and right past San Clemente on the fwy. ,there is a Big BROWN sing that says San Onofre beach next right. Get off and vear to the right . DO NOT turn into gate on right side, after vearing, continue down the road going towards the reactors and when you come to the train tracks stop. then cross tracks,go straight and the road will vear right and there will be a parking lot shack,Maybe open chargeing addmission and sometimes not.Go down the road all the way and follow the dirt road till it ends. BEWARE ! at the end of the road is a turn around with SIGNs NO PARKING with indicating arrows. STAY to west of these or you will be towed ! Walk east to the reactor and you can walk past the reactor but DO NOT fish anywhere around the reactor by 100yrds. I do belive. continuing walking on the beach passing ALL the stainless steel warning signs .Keep Your eyes peeled on the sand....! When the Soft sand starts to turn to Coarse rocks YOU ARE IN THE ZONE ! ! ! turn around look up at the Highest Cliff and look for a Huge Eagle's Nest at the Tipp of the Cliff, also walk down and position yourself with that point and once again YOU ARE IN THE ZONE !!!! take plenty of water, beach shoes and Don't forget your TYGer Leader ! ! ! !

Yes, Make sure you take a net, and a friend. Halibut usually before being beached, make that desperate "TURN" for the worst ! Meaning they spit or unjar the hook by thrashing up and down or left to right. Keep a FIRM line, not too high in the air ,maybe a 45 dg. angle should work fine. And Have your buddy READY AND ALERT!!!! It's going to feel like draging in a Big wet blanket, But REMEMBER ! He's eventually going to FREAK ! GOOD LUCK !!
