Gov. Davis HATES! fishermen.<br><br>He okayed continuation of the Striped Bass Stamp fee even though the Striped Bass re-stocking program it supposedly funds is defunct. Our yearly $50. fishing license fees are illegally diverted into California's general fund rather than to benefit fishermen.<br><br>Davis signed a law that makes 50% of ALL the best fishing spots of our coast off limits to anglers, divers and surfers.<br><br>He vetoed a bill that would have saved offshore artificial reefs left by oil rigs from destruction and funded programs that revitalize the ocean.<br><br>Davis closed Californisa dams to fishermen in the guise of protecting the dams from terrorists. While no threat to our dams has ever existed, his ban continues and effects mostly elderly and handicapped anglers who use the dams to easilly get near the water.<br><br>Fishing demographics cross all age, financial and cultural boundries, and is only surpassed by Nascar in dollars spent.<br><br>People who fish not only purchase fishing equipment like rods, reels, lures and live bait, they spend on gas,cars and trucks, campers and Rv's, hotels, airlines, clothing, BOATS. cameras, binoculars, electronic devices, and fun food and drink while fishing.<br><br>Fishing is a traditional family activity, especially between fathers and sons.<br><br>Fishermen are or soon become true environmentalists and conservationists.<br><br>Governor Davis prefers pandering to his constituancy of Animal Rights Crazies, Homos, Vegeterians, Leftists, Goof-Ball college professors, college students, single mothers, little old ladies, those that hate oil companies and the commercial fishermen that drag giant vacumn cleaners across the ocean floor killing everything. <br><br><br><br>
