Decided to take my brother-in-law for a little crappie fishing today. Launched at skull island. Was surprised to see the ramp full (had one spot left for us). :o Didnt have to look hard to find them. They were biting right from the start and only got better as the day went on. We caught 210 crappie with a few scattered others. Most were shorties. Caught about 50 keepers, but we kept 18 of the biggest ones. All caught on an assortment of BG's. We set a personal best for numbers in a single day. The weather was great and the bank fisherman (whos skin was redder than my brother-in-laws shirt) was grateful to take some home for supper. Today was a day for memories.
