Baja Pirates of La Paz – Catch of the Day 04/19/2012
It was more like The Catches of the Day. Nathan Sharma not only won the jackpot with his yellowtail (pictured below) but it was his very first catch of a yellowtail. He and his party were fishing at the el Bajo seamount.
Then there was Robert Tacy who was fly fishing in an area called el Pailabote on Espiritu Santo Island and landed a good size rooster fish. Out captains reported seeing numerous schools of rooster fish in the area. Pictured below is Robert with his rooster fish and a photo of the fly he used and was destroyed by the fish.
While speaking about fly fishing we want to remind everyone about the television show, Seasons on the Fly, who have featured Baja Pirates and La Paz in a couple of their showings. They did an outstanding job in showing off the many benefits of coming to La Paz and fishing with us. Check your local listings and try to catch their show.
