Gorge 5-7
#1
Nephew and I went to the Gorge yesterday for some Koke fishing. When we got there at about 9:30 the wind was blowing pretty hard from the East. We decided to try and fish, so we launched and went to the mouth of Current Creek. Hard to control the boat and fish at a good speed, also the wind was cold! The kokes didn't seem to mind though, we caught 14 kokes, one rainbow and one small mac. We were using Kokanee Creek spinners and squids. Orange seemed to be the color, fished at 5-10 feet. We weighed one koke, it was 2 1/2
lbs. the rest were about the same. Grilled salmon tonight!

Nice report and I agree that bow is "gorge"ous... I hope I get to come down for a couple days this summer, it sure is a fun spot. Thanks for the encouragement. Later J

Hmmmmm - salmon.
Sounds like some good fishing despite tough conditions.

Thanks for sharing - sure would like to get out to the gorge myself someday.
