AURORA, Colo. - Cherry Creek State Park's swim beach will open to swimming on Friday, May 25 at 8 a.m. The swim beach will be open seven days a week, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., through Labor Day. All vehicles entering the park must have a parks pass, but there is no additional charge to use the swim beach.

There are no lifeguards on duty and children 12 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please remember that swimming is only allowed within the designated swim line. No pets are allowed on the swim beach.

Are you planning on having a large gathering or party at the swim beach? If so, the Whitetail Group Picnic Area is available for daily rentals. The group picnic area consists of two sites. Each site has large grills and picnic tables, and is only available with a reservation. Please contact the park office at 303-690-1166 ext: 6561 if you are interested in group picnic area rental fees and information.

There are also many free, first-come-first-served picnic areas at the swim beach with picnic tables and grills. Vending machines are available and are stocked with assorted drinks, food and beach toys. If you are planning on visiting on the weekend, get there early, because the parking lot and picnic areas fill up quickly.
