advice on NJ fishing spots and regulations
#1
I am a float tube fisherman. I am heading to NJ to stay in wildwood for a few days. I am thinking about stopping somewhere on the way down to do some freshwater fishing. I was looking at the Salem river or the Kates Creek Meadow area. Does anyone have any info on theis area? How strong is the current? Is is brackish water or fresh? are there any good spots to park, fish from the bank and launch a float tube?

I am also going to try my hand at surf fishing and I wanted fish at night. Is it legal to fish on the beach at night in NJ? Are there any good spots to surf cast in Wildwood? Does anyone salt water float tube fish in NJ? Do I need a marine licensee to surf fish or fish the bay?

Anyone who can answer any of these questions please do. Thanks!
