Panama Fishing Report- Yellowfin Tuna & Wahoo
#1
Panama Fishing Report
June 16th 2012
Come Fish Panama Lodge

This weeks we had returning Anglers Junior and his wife Nitzia that fished with us back in March for Wahoo and enjoyed their Wahoo Slam.. Now it’s Tuna Time as they had mentioned, so after quickly catching our “Cojinoa” Blue Runners off and running to Isla Montuosa where we have been slamming the Yellowfin all month long.

Once we arrived the fishing grounds the same script as last week and the week before, the Tuna cont. to feed on pretty much anything you toss out so out went our Blue Runners and in came our Yellowfin. This was the routine of the day and these Anglers were just excited as their Wahoo Trip. After catch over 15 Yellowfin Tuna between them and keeping about 5-6 we headed over for some bottom fishing..

Once finally getting over to the spot the current was just to strong as the Southern Winds would not provide a decent drop, drift or positioning. This left little so we trolled for a Wahoo bite and one did hit after 30 min. on the troll. By then the full day was coming to an end and we needed to start running back to the lodge with heavy seas on the way home…

As always from all of us here at Come Fish Panama we would like to thank both of these Returning Anglers for choosing to fish with us and look forward to taking them Marlin Fishing in January 2013 when they return.

Below you will find a few photo’s of the action they provided for us, head over to our Fishing Photo’s Link Fishing Photos | Come Fish Panama to view more of them and other past Anglers.
