Panama Fishing Report
June 21st 2012
Come Fish Panama Lodge

This weeks Anglers Larry G. and Dennis M. hailing from North Carolina came over to Inshore Fish with us for 2 Solid Days. These season anglers have caught more Offshore species than we can ever imagine as both of these guys were Capt. off the South Eastern Shores of Florida back in the 60′s and 70′s. So Inshore Fishing what it was all about on this trip with some wonderful time away from home and at the Come Fish Panama Lodge.

Once arriving at the Lodge and settling in with a few cocktail’s pool side I had the opportunity to chatted with them regarding their time as a fishing Capt. off the Florida Coast back in the day when things were different. Much has change as we all know but Fishing has always been a way of life for them.

After a couple more drinks dinner was about to be served in the main room which is on the 2nd floor with a poolside view. It’s 1 of the 2 different dinning areas we provide for our angler’s at the Lodge, been the 2nd dinning area on the 3rd floor with an Ocean Island View as another option.

On this night we had Chef Argelie prepare them Freshly Caught Lobster which our angler’s each choose from the Lobster Fisherman who had just came in along with Coconut Rice and a Avocado, Mango and Walnut Salad.

After dinner and a wonderful dessert Dennis was ready for a few games of Billiard so off to the table he went and meet up with Mike, and Kurt who were at it by then.

Fishing finally came around and it didn’t take long before Larry and Dennis were all hooked up to some Wahoo which we new the morning Hoo’ would be looking to feed early. So Dennis got into action and by the time Larry took possession of the 2nd screaming reel the Hoo’ cut him off, but Dennis was on his and took matters into his own and brought this nice wahoo to the boat. A quick gaff shot and into the box for the Sashimi appetizer later back at the lodge.

We hooked Dennis and Larry up with Mahi, Amberjack, Pacific Sierra, and 2 which we believe were nice size Cuberas but broke off after a back and forth fight to get him off the bottom on light spinning gear.

We really enjoyed having these Angler’s fish with us here at Come Fish Panama and look forward to their return in March with their good friend Mike from Florida who Larry had said he has always wanted to Fish Panama.

As always, we thank them for choosing CFP and wish them the very best. Below are a few sample photo’s of their stay with us, more can be found on our FB page at www.Facebook.com/ComeFishPanama.
