iPhone app for fishing
#1
If you have an iPhone, you might be interested in checking out this project I have been working on. I'm a tuna fisherman who was hired by the New England Aquarium for the summer to help develop and promote their new iPhone app called fishblue. Its a new initiative to try to study the recreational fishing industry. Lead by the Vice President of Research of the New England Aquarium, Dr. Scott Kraus, the project has been under development for over two years now, and is finally ready for the masses. All of the programming was done by Green Mountain Digital. They are same firm that created the Orvis iPhone app and all of the Audubon apps, which some of you may be familiar with.

The fishblue app is a great tool for fisherman to see where they have been fishing, and more importantly, where they have been catching fish. It tracks trips, notes where catches are made, allows fishermen to photograph and record their fish, and syncs with a secure website that allows the fisherman to have access to all their data on a computer or laptop. This information is invaluable to the aquarium, and helps them understand what really is going on out there. If you are interested in hearing more about fishblue, more information is available at http://www.facebook.com/fishblueNEAq and http://bit.ly/fishblue

Thanks,
Sam
