Echo Bay 07/14
#1
Whizzle and I went out a couple Saturdays ago. Wanted to fish the NSC tourney but we just didn't have enough time to do it. The storm was awesome. I caught 1 bluegill and some stripers. Whizzle caught a bunch of smallies and some striper. Nothing was sizeable but it was a productive day. Here are some pics.

picturesque skies

Nice raincloud we watched for a while before it started dumping and moving right for us.

Those pictures look awesome. It's a good thing we didn't enter the NSC tourney - we wouldn't have won with a bag like that!

The beach and intake tower gave up the wining fish at the last NSC tourney. Echo has the numbers but no size.

Chech out my report from this last weekend on our site.

Cool report, Toby. Thanks for linking. I wouldn't say echo has no size. Whizzle did win the June tourney with a big fish from echo. [Wink]

There's another good pic of Whizzle's 8 pounder on the NSC page. Check it out.

I agree with Erawk. There are good fish in the Overton Arm. There was a time when 5 tournament anglers fished exclusively up there every month and came in the top 4 more times than not. Your report is better advertised as middle point than Echo Toby. Just making the observation. Echo is a great place to fish and should not be misrepresented as a dink hole. Yes there are a lot of fish up there, but they're not all small. A guy could put a tournament bag together up there if he is in the know.

Again, i think i have one of the biggest fish from the lake in quite some time caught north of echo. there are plenty of big fish up there.. just have to put the time in to find where they are.

O yeah I know of two over 40 this year one over 20 and a 15. I am sure there are more up there waiting to be caught.
