olunteer for salt marsh planting on 8/9
This project will restore coastal native wetland habitat at Fort De Soto Park. To achieve this, we will target areas of the park where stormwater swales drain directly into the bay. By planting coastal wetland species, like salt marsh, habitat will be enhanced by creating a buffer for water filtration before entering the Bay. This project will improve coastal habitats and water quality in the bay for fish, wading birds, manatees, seaturtles and bay residents. Click here to read more on salt marsh restoration.
