San Diego Yacht & Boat Show Attendance Jumps 68 Percen
#1
"The NMMA/SCMA integration is working. In just one month, with top notch marketing and communications resources, we've been able to reinvigorate the San Diego Yacht & Boat Show and anticipate this event to be a mainstay for the Southern California marine industry," stated Executive Director of NMMA West, Dave Geoffroy.

"We saw boat buyers this year and are very happy with the show and attendance," said Jim Johnson, Chuck Hovey Yachts.

"The traffic was noticeably up and we saw a lot of quality attendees and potential customers" echoed Jack Buckley, Ensign Yacht Sales. "There were definitely more buyers than sellers!"

The 2012 show featured new on-water attractions, Try It Cove and Take the Helm with Discover Boating, which allowed attendees to try paddleboarding and participate in interactive on-the-water boating courses, both power and sail. The overall consensus from both exhibitors and attendees about the additions to the show was very positive.

"The show was great for West Marine. We met many customers who saw TV coverage and came prepared to try a paddleboard at the new Try It Cove, and we sold product," noted Joyce Apple, West Marine.
