Glen lake
#1
Good ole Glen lake was good as I am accustomed to. We started out with jigs and landed several bass and a few Pickerel, nothing big, but respectable. The bass went from 10" up to 14". All smallmouth.
The Pickerel were 15" and 18". Typical for the lake. Scrappy and hard hitting, but they don't last long on the fight.

We switched to the fly rod and began throwing Hoppers in a #12. The bluegill went nuts over them, catching one on every cast and watching as their buddies tried to snatch the bug from their mouths. Not a lot of size, the biggest being about 9", but scrappy fighters on the 5 weight and a blast on the 3 weight.
James has the typical problems of a breaking wrist and not waiting for the flyrod to fully load before beginning his forwars stroke, but I am sure with my coaching and some video to show him what he is doing he'll come around.
