Lake Mead (North End) 9-02-12
#1
Had to hit the water sometime this weekend since Madi is back in school and couldn't go Thursday.

Anyways nothing special caught. Not sure where those Large Mouths are at these days. Having one heck of a time getting on them consistently. Matter of fact since late last year when we first got the boat. Back them we caught nothing but LMB, for the most part, from September 2011 on to the cold of winter and these days/this year it is almost all SMB.

Caught 20 SMB and 6 LMB. 1-2 pounders.

No misc/lost Stripers. Matter of fact it has been several months since we caught one of them up north. They were boiling big time in the AM hours up north in some of the bays and just not seeing them lately.

Poor timing on leaving though... Left the marina at 6:20PM and just shy of Callville someone rolled their Mustang. When we came upon the scene there was a TON of emergency vehicles and the life flight on the road. Needless to say the road was shut down. They were planning on opening one lane then learned the NHP was on the way and the road was going to be closed for many hours. FUN FUN trying to turn around a full sized vehicle and boat/trailer on that road but the only choice. Got it turned around and headed back north and out the Valley of Fire. Didn't get home till almost 9:30pm. Made it a loooong day after being on the water since 5am.

Good report man, we were in teh Callville area yesterday and did ok, but like you didnt see much of the LMB. I have a feeling they are down deep, we had several SMB and a bunch of striper action. There is just soo much bait in the water it makes it a little tough to get them to bite.
