Sheep Creek Kokes?
#1

Taking my daughter and granddaughter out to the Gorge this weekend.
Did anyone fish down around sheep creek lately for kokes?
Does anyone have any places on the UT side to fish for the salmon..

Thanks for any and all advice and info..

We fished the Canyon last weekend and the koke fishing was pretty spotty for us. We tried both Hideout Canyon and Jarvies Bay, doing in better in the later, mostly along the wall on the eastside of Jarvies. Fish were caught on a lot of different gear and no one set-up stood out. Those included, RMT Viper spoons in Tequila Sunrise and Hothead, dodgers in Fusion with a double glow pink or rainbow squid, Triple Teazers in pearl bikini, and even Northland Forage Minnows in rainbow trout. Most of the kokes were from 40-60 ft, but we caught some bigger ones down at 75-80 ft while trolling for lake trout. The lake trout bite was pretty good though, using the spoons mentioned above. We marked a lot of fish in both spots and it's not uncommon this time of year for one day or spot to outperform another.

Good luck, Ryno
