Tampa Bay Watch is recruiting up to twenty hard working volunteers to help build oyster domes on the mornings of Monday, September 10 and Friday, September 14 from 9am - noon at our Marine Center (3000 Pinellas Bayway South, Tierra Verde, FL). The minimum age to participate in this project is 16 years old. The project will involve pouring marine friendly concrete into a fiberglass mold to create oyster domes and taking apart the molds that were previously poured. The domes are placed in shallow water around Tampa Bay to act as bases for creation of oyster bar habitat that benefits a wide variety of marine creatures including gamefish.
