Information: Red snapper will be open for commercial and recreational harvest for a limited time in September.
The recreational season will be open Sept. 14-16 and Sept. 21-23. During the recreational season, the bag limit will be one fish per person, per day. Red snapper is open for recreational harvest in Atlantic state waters (from shore to three nautical miles) year round.
The commercial season will be from Sept. 17 through Sept. 23. During the commercial season, the daily trip limit will be 50 pounds gutted weight.
There will be no minimum size limit for both commercial and recreational harvest in federal waters.
