Got out for a nice full day yesterday in the creeks. Salmon are finally starting to make their way upstream. Mostly Kings and coho's right now. But with the waters being so low it takes a lot of footwork to find the pockets and log jams theyre sitting in.
After a few hours of wading and driving to the different holes we finally got into some and got in the water and waded a couple miles.
All in all we hooked into 4 but only landed one.
We couldnt get the skein bite at all they were taking white and black bunny leaches on the fly,
With two guys in a 15 foot wide creek and 9' fly rods it was tight quarters for sure! Made a quick video with the gopro last night. check it out. CPR on the king salmon.
