Greetings from the island of enchantment.
We had TS Rafael passing East of Us sending some rain and heavy winds, then Sandy passed west of us and gave us one day of rain and Heavy swell as we speak from the north west.
The fishing became winter style, All 50# and 80# gear went to the storage and all the 20#, 12# and only one 30# Aboard. Sailfish are here, mahis and the wahoo.
We changed scenery for the last weekend and went to the back country for some Tarpon action. The first invitational Tournament Of the Tarpons Nest Lodge came in to play with the top boats of the area participating. First place Till Bauer Mongil 60", Second place Midel Gomez 58", Third place Dave Parkowiski 56", top angler alejandro Velez, top lady angler and biggest snook Wanda Plaza, junior angler Jose Flores and small Fry Ana Jaen. Great work of Omar and his crew of the tarpon Nest.
