Fishing Lady Pamela 2
#1
November 4th and 5th, 2012

I have been running the Lady Pamela II the past few days, with Mike as my mate. We had three anglers on a shared morning charter on the 4th and the trolling was great. Our anglers went one for two on sailfish, and landed three kingfish, four bonitos and one skipjack tuna. All these fish were caught trolling with fresh mullet strips behind seawitch feathers. The sailfish were caught on the top bait, with the landed fish caught on a blue/and white seawitch, while the one we missed was on a pink/white seawitch. The other fish were caught on the same baits but trolled behind planer boards. The planer boards bring the baits down 40 to 60 feet below the surface and fish go crazy when they see these baits down deep.

Our trip on Nov. 4th was a full day trip, and try as we might, we could get no sailfish bites. We were able to boat a few smoker (40lb) kingfish as well as some other kingfish around 10-15lbs. We also landed a few bonitos, and some small blackfin tunas that are perfect for sashimi!

Tight Lines,

Capt David Ide
