Line winders.

I finally got one. A Mason Line Tamer line winder. It puts lots of drag on baitcasters or spinning reels while loading. Not shown in the picture diagram are two other narrow rubber spacers that are used for large 3000 foot spools. These other spacers can be placed on the Line Tamer spindle for storage because they will not interfere when winding off of smaller reels.

It seems to work very well, puts more drag on then if winding in a line from the backwake of a bass boat to tension line on the fishing reel.

There might be better ones out there, but I'm happy with this one. The Mason website does not even show the picture of the LIne Tamer so I post the info sheet here. There are two L brackets that (by tension) hold the Tamer to a desktop with drilling any holes in the desk.
