fish lake ice

Stopped by Fish Lake today to see how the ice progress is.
From what I could see most of the lake has ice on it. I would guess it to be about 75% to 80% covered.
The ice that we saw looked to be real poor. We stopped at the S. E. end when we saw what it was like, The ice might have looked better at the N. E. end but we did not venture that far.

How much snow was down there?

I was up there today. There were a few brave souls fishing the south end on 2 inches of ice. The main lake has unsafe ice and there are still spots of open water. What makes it scary is that there is a skift of snow on the ice, so it is impossible to tell if the ice is safe underneath. I am going to wait on it until next weekend.
