[cool][#0000FF]Looks like a species of tilefish. But without seeing a single fish layed out...with fins, tail and other identifying features clearly visible it is hard to guess.

Also, it would help to know where they came from. Several species of tilefish in the world and some species can overlap in appearance.

Was going to say Snapper from the color but the heads throw that off, I'm stumped? I'll do some digging?

my fish book says razor gobie from florida waters
it does look like a tile fish from the south pacific too

Thanks everyone for the help and warm welcomes.

These were found in Shenzhen, China. A friend in the military traveled over there and took just this picture. We're trying to find the same fish here but it's proving difficult [Smile].
