Five of us hit fish lake last sat. And did very will. We got 103 trout and 50+ perch. Fished in 30 ft of water Down 15/20 ft. down. Used small white jigs tipped with mealies and perch meat. Small worked better.

Was there any size to the trout? The ones I've pulled out this season seem to be smaller than last year.

Depends on where you're at this year it seems. I had a couple trips in my usual place and got smaller fish (11-13") than last year. I changed it up and got into a bit larger models (16-18"). Try a different spot.

great report. we are headed down in the morning for 4 days. hopefully we will get into some nicer fish. did you fish on the east side? how much snow is on the ice? and how thick is the ice? any info is greatly appreciated. [cool]

We were on the west side. Ice is about 16". Snow is about 3-4" deep with a little slush starting to form here and there. No bad though. Watched a couple of guys ride a wheeler across to the east side with no apparent problems.
