#1
Just wondering everybodies favorite place to get cheap flies, or if a place exists. I don't tie my own flies nor do I want to. Nothing against people who do just not for me. Cheers, Harri

Before I started tying I use to order all my flies from

http://www.bigyflyco.com

there cheap about .50 a fly and the flies aren't bad.

Locally the least expensive flies I found are at Sportmans about .99 cent a fly. But if you want Quality then Fishtech & Anglers Den have great flies.

Id highly recommend investing in a vice and some fly tying material even one of those Fly tying kits. You wont save any money tying but It will save you a trip to the store and you can customize your flies to what hatching here in Utah.

I can appreciate not wanting to tie your own because it is a heck of an investment and I put it off for years. So for now use one of the links those guys gave you or call one of the guys on KSL.com they sell cheap flies that look really good.

Remember that with cheap flies, super glue is your friend! I sometimes buy the discounted flies from Orvis, and even they sell imported "production line" flies that can come apart quickly. Put a small drop on the point of a pin or needle, and "dab" a small amount on the head where the fly is tied off. cover only the thread on the head, which is the reason to put a small amount glue on a pin first. A drop from the container is way too much. I do this with most of the flies I buy for whatever reason. Do them all at once, and it doesn't take long. Custom flies from riverside fly shops usually don't need it, but those are $2.75 and up.

This guy on ebay has lots of flies and you can usally get them for around 3$ a dozen, but you gt the same fly and 12 of them. But if thier is a pattern you really like then its worth it, they are pretty good flies and have gotten a few from him

I've had good luck with http://www.hookedonflies.com. They aren't the cheapest, but the quality to price seems to be the best I've found.

I second ebay seller kjflyfish81. He always has around 900 listings on ebay and I have picked up a dozen for around $3.00 plus shipping. He only charges one shipping fee of $3.00 no matter how many dozen you win. They also do business at www.theflystop.com with the average price of .65 per fly. Same shipping costs. Good quality.
