Put in at Chester Frost this morning and there weren't many boats out on this Easter Sunday. Skies were overcast and the lake was slick calm for the first 3 hours of the day. Really got on a good pattern from 8- 11 a.m. and caught 16 fish with 7 going over 4 lbs. All caught on the rayburn red XR50 ONE KNOCKER. Best 5 were right around the 22 lbs mark. Never could catch a kicker today but I can't complain on the quality of fish all morning. Called Offshore to tell him how good of a morning it was and he came and met me around 11:30, only caught 1 more good fish when he joined before I had to go to Easter dinner at the my Grandparents at 1. The Chick is about to explode for shallow water fishermen like myself. Today was a telling sign of what is to come as soon as the weather stabilizes. All fish were caught from 2-6 ft of water in the back of spawning flats with stumps and rock present. Water temp was 52 in the most productive area.
