Cast net repairs
#1
Need some help on cast net repairs?
Found a few sites hope this helps, Whizzle you will need it. I'm new at fixing nets but you get good after a few fixes.

Get a net needle or make one with a modified plastic crab claw opener. 10 pound mono fishing line works great.

A better cast net site? (all-around good site)

Whizzle and I went to the wash today to net some bait. Whizzle got the first gizzard pretty quick. I wasn't having as much luck until later on. I finally got a gizzard on a blind throw and as I pulled it up it slipped out the bottom! Doh! Haha. We left with two big gizzards and some threadfin. I even caught a tiny blue gill.

Thanks again.

I'll try to fix that broken braille line today.

Thanks again Toby - It wasn't a very productive bait run, but it got us started for sure. I think I figured out what I was doing wrong... Gotta switch hands.

If you want realy big gizzard shad go all the way back into Vegas wash. Stay on the right side and cast you net in the turbulent water at the sand bars.

They actualy will show up on the fish finder. Then keep casting to the left and follow that around to the sticks.

Then take the bait and fish from Gypsum wash to the pump station thing (has a cage around it).
