cut bait

Cooked some talopia the other day and thought that it would be an excel ant cut bait. Any solid info, not just guesses?

I gave that tilapia a try as cut bait but all that I could find had been frozen. It was just to mushy to stay on. I'm sure the crawdads liked it though. I suppose a guy could use the heads if you had some. Seems like most of the so called fresh fish here is frozen. What is really fresh I can't afford to fish with. Back to WB carp perch suckers.[]
