8 1/2 lb. smallmouth, anyone?

Forgot to mention in my recent Sheep Creek Res. report, that they are also catching some monster smallmouth out of there. A few years ago, a fellow caught a 5 + lb. smallie that was 20 3/4 ". Then a year or two ago another person caught an 8 1/2 lb. smallmouth that was 21 1/2 lb., with a girth of 17 1/2 ". It is the current state record for Nevada. You must retain all bass by law. Very few people fish for anything but trout, but there are definitely some monster bass in there. Mike
