Some buddies and I are planning a fishing trip in a couple months to the Wolf River area. We will be staying at the Pine Grove Resort a couple miles north of Fremont.
None of us has ever fished the Wolf River before. I have been told that it is navigable all the way from Lake Winnibago to the city of New London, over 90 miles.
Fishing reports I have read said that much of the river north of Freemont is only navigable with smaller fishing boats.
To anyone familiar with this area I am wondering how large of a boat can be taken upstream. An 18' fish-n-ski deep V? An 18' bass tracker? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
