[size 3]Fishing pressure continued to be low. A few anglers landed stocked rainbow trout that ranged from 10 – 12 inches. Night crawlers and PowerBait were landing the fish. The water is free of ice.[/size]
[size 3]ECHO CANYON RESERVOIR [/size]
[size 3]Ben Johnson from Nevada State Parks said that fishing pressure continued to be low. A few rainbow trout that averaged 10 inches were taken. PowerBait was the bait of choice. The water level is still low and still free of ice.[/size]
[size 3]LAKE MEAD[/size]
[size 3]Walter De Mattos, Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) Creel Census Clerk reported that the weather was still having a big impact on fishing at Lake Mead. Fishing pressure continued to be low; however, the few anglers that fished had good success for striped bass in the Overton Beach area.[/size]
[size 3]Boaters fishing around Stewarts Point, Ann Margaret Cove, and St. Thomas were successful landing stripers that ranged from 1 ½ - 2 pounds. The fish were taken with anchovies and crank bait. Largemouth bass anglers also reported good success in the same areas. A few fish that averaged 2 ½ pounds were taken with crank bait, top-water lures and black plastic worms.[/size]
[size 3]NDOW is scheduled to stock rainbow trout at Hemenway Cove, Horsepower Cove, Pumphouse Cove and North Saddle Cove tomorrow (11/21/03). [/size]

[size 3]Fishing pressure continued to be low at Cottonwood Cove due to the weather front that came through the area. A few anglers were successful landing stripers that ranged from 1 ½ - 2 pounds. The fish were taken with anchovies and squid.[/size]
[size 3]Willow Beach is also experiencing low fishing pressure. A few striped bass were creeled. The fish averaged 2 pounds and were taken with anchovies.[/size]
[size 3]NDOW is scheduled to stock rainbow trout at Willow Beach tomorrow (11/21/03).[/size]
[size 3]WAYNE E. KIRCH WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA [/size]Daniel Maes, NDOW Installation Technician, said that fishing pressure dropped off from the previous week. The few anglers that fished Cold Springs and Haymeadow Reservoirs reported good success for rainbow trout. The fish that were taken averaged 14 inches. PowerBait and night crawlers were landing the fish.
Daytime temperatures were in the high 50s and the nights dropped down into the low 20s. The water is still free of ice.
