Keeping your bait in the strike zone for bottom feeding fish. I
#1
Several different rigs for catching that big fish and putting the bait in the zone for more strikes. First off what kind of areas are you fishing rivers have current and snags try this one out tie a three way swivel main line on top main line 20 pound test or more cut off a foot of line to tie on the second hole of the swivel put your hook on this one. The last hole cut off 10 pound test line a foot and a half tie weight on. This will help you keep your fish and if you snag a rock or tree with your weight you won't lose your fish. The light line with the weight will snap leaving your hook and makes it easier to use in rivers that you would have lost entire rig and fish and rig. Lakes. I use a swevil run line through one side of it cut off a foot of line tie to other side of the swevil tie hook to a foot of line. And attach to swevil use a split shot to tie afoot above and below the main line tie a good weight to bottom of the main line. Now the bait will will slide up and down the main line. This will help you with light strickes youcan also add a small foam stopper float to area around the hook to keep bait off the bottom or use live shad or bait so it moves to attract more strikes.
