NDOW Stocking locations at Lake Mead
HORSEPOWER COVE – From Boulder City, drive south on U.S. 93 and turn north to Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA) just before reaching the Hacienda Casino. About 100 yards past the entrance station to LMNRA, turn right and head east. Take the next turnoff to the right (north) and follow the signs to Las Vegas Bay Marina. The Horsepower Cove stocking area is south of the marina and just 100 feet north of the fishing dock. Follow the dirt road to reach the stocking area.
HEMENWAY POINT – From Boulder City, drive south on U.S. 93 and turn north to Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA) just before reaching the Hacienda Casino. About 100 yards past the entrance station to LMNRA, turn right and head east toward the lake. About 100 feet from the water’s edge, turn north on the paved road and then turn east just after reaching the crest of the hill. A long point can be seen from the crest of the hill. Fish are stocked near the end of that point on the south side. The road has been graded and is easy to drive with a passenger vehicle.
NORTH SADDLE COVE (B-3) – From Boulder City, drive south on U.S. 93 and turn north to Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA) just before reaching the Hacienda Casino. After entering LMNRA, continue driving on the Lakeshore Road northward, passing Lake Mead Marina and the Southern Nevada Water Authority facility. About 100 feet before reaching the turnoff to Lake Mead Fish Hatchery, turn east at the sign identifying Pumphouse Cove. Continue east and take the first turnoff to the right and look for the yellow sign signifying B-3 Cove.
PUMPHOUSE COVE (B-5) – From Boulder City, drive south on U.S. 93 and turn north to Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LMNRA) just before reaching the Hacienda Casino. After entering LMNRA, continue driving on Lakeshore Road northward, passing Lake Mead Marina and the Southern Nevada Water Authority facility. About 100 feet before the turnoff to Lake Mead Fish Hatchery, turn east at the sign identifying Pumphouse Cove. It can be reached by driving directly east to the water’s edge. Fish are stocked at the end of the road on the north side.[/size][/font]
