[size 3]In the Academy Sports and Outdoors HT Invitational Redfish Series teams have fished for the past 3 years for the highest prize purse available in competitive red fishing in the country.
The need to grow the sport is evident and with renewed interest we feel it is time to take the next step and expand the Series to more anglers.
Reduced entry fees and increased field size.
In an attempt to grow our footprint beyond our current tour stops and being sensitive to the amount travel, time away from families and expense of having events in a single Series visiting multiple states we have decided to deliver the high energy weigh ins, big time money and great sponsors to the anglers of each of 4 states in their own Invitational Team Series.
While the schedule and lower entry fees will allow teams to fish in multiple state series and travel as much as they want to, it will no longer be required for a team to travel all across the country in an attempt to qualify for the championship or secure future spots on the prestigious Academy Sports and Outdoors HT Invitational Series tour.
Throughout the past few years HT has benefited from the substantial contribution of anglers from other states, while smaller in number just as large in contribution to the tour.
We are excited at the opportunity to expand the Series in the future and feel this is the best way to achieve that goal, so stay tuned and watch for the Academy Sports and Outdoors HT Invitational Redfish Team Series 2.014 edition, we feel its a real winner.
