Headed up to Pineview yesterday morning. Hit the water about 7:00 with clouds in the sky and threatening rain. With the rain coming down we went straight to chucking and winding for Muskies trying some larger baits to see if I could get some reaction strikes before we settled into trolling. Only had one follow that I missed at the boat. I don't think my arms were ready to throw a 9" jerk bait (hitting the Advil today).
Saw some structure on the graph, put a drop-shot down and picked up a nice smallie so we switched from big game to small game with some success on soft plastics, but nothing stellar. Did pick up a few once we figured out the pattern, but I've had better days. I did however out fish the little bro. and that is really all that matters.
