Skull Cleaning with Bugs
#1
Hey, I wanted to let all you southeastern Idaho hunters know that I live literally right on the Utah/Idaho border just south of Weston, and I have a Dermestid beetle colony and do euro mounts. If you aren't familiar with beetle cleaned skulls, it is a much gentler way of cleaning to leave all the delicate bones intact and you don't get swelling of skull plates like when you boil it out. Deer, elk, moose, predators, birds, you name it bugs can clean it! PM me for the details, I'm quicker and cheaper than most taxidermists, as I only deal with bones no full mounts.
Good huntin!
Here is a pic of an Idaho bear skull I just finished.
