Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
The water temps in both lakes have passed the 50 degree mark and fishing has really improved this past week. The weather has been very nice and fishermen are getting out in good numbers. Crappie are hitting minnows along the secondary channels and along the drops at the mouths of the bays. Both Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley are producing some nice crappie catches. Smallmouth are good in Kentucky Lake along the pea gravel shorelines. Jig/pork and small crankbaits are working best. There is little catfishing activity to report, but some good catches are being caught in the tail waters of Barkley Dam. Largemouth are still spotty and slow.

TIP: North shorelines warm first.

BITS AND PIECES: If you think you can't, you probably won't.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
