[font "Verdana,Arial,Helvetica"][black][size 1][cool]i am always looking for the best fishing possible and looking for the over looked alligator gar is the best when the backwater is out and the gar more in to bread and feed . i use bft heavy pole and baitcasting reel the pole is 7 ft and has the longer handle for more control and the reel hold 300 yards of 8o pound test line,so it can handle the run and brute on the hook,6ought hook and guitar string for leader and a one to two pound shade caught in casting net before fishing, i use the spot and cast to hunt for them as it is the best way to catch them as them stay close to top and follow the edges of the back water for prey.
