Temple Bar
#1
Anyone have any insight into the lake around Temple Bar?

Many years ago my dad used to spend a lot of time on the Colorado River. One of his adventures was to take a boat from somewhere in the Grand Canyon up to Piers Ferry (sp) at the end of a rafting trip he was a guide on. He's said he wants to go to temple bar and rent a boat to head towards the inlet of the Colorado to see how far you can get these days.

It would probably one of the runabouts you can rent from Forever Resorts that we'd get.

So:
How far up towards the river can you get?
How long of a boat ride out of temple bar is that?
Is the fishing any good up there?
Anything interesting to a tour in that part of the lake?

Lake ends just beyond Sandy Point. The mud line is directly behind it. If you had a good jet boat you could go upriver. For a regular boat wait for lake level 1150. When I was there last week I saw no one fishing above the point.
