FishHunter or other sonar?
#1
Hey guys!
I like to fish from my kayak out on lakes and need something to tell me if I’m at a good spot or wasting my time. I don’t really know anything about sonars, but I’m definitely not trying to blow several hundred dollars on something I’m not going to use that much.
Does anyone know of any good fish finder sonars? I found this one from FishHunter, and it looks really nice. It’s only $200 and it’s really manageable and portable, which would be perfect for me. I just want to know if anyone has seen, used, or knows anything about these. I also found this comparison link (http://www.fishhunter.com/fishhunter-com...mpetition/) on their webpage; can anyone tell me how accurate this is?

The most common portable one is the Humminbird Fish Buddy. Fully self-contained and runs on AA batts, I believe. You can get a tiny unit for $50 at Harbor Freight, but they are often non-functioning junk - as you might expect.
