MDWFP To Host "Lure You to the Lake" at Elvis Presley Lake
#1
JACKSON - The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau and Tupelo Parks and Recreation are hosting a free family fishing day at Elvis Presley Lake on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

The day will began with a fishing rodeo for youth ages 15 and under. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The rodeo will offer a quality fishing experience for youth anglers in a controlled and safe environment. A small area will be well-stocked with catfish to make it easier for participants to catch fish. This event is a great way for families to spend quality time together. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers. Activities will include games, booths, educational displays, face painting, and clothesline art. Lunches will be provided for youth participants.

There will be no charge for the event and family members can fish in the stocked area after the rodeo. Fishing fees will be waived for the day. Several fish will have tags with values up to $100.
